This show was first presented at VUE 2014 (30th October to 2nd November 2014). VUE is Ireland's National Contemporary Art Fair which takes place at the RHA every year. The fair brings together several contemporary art galleries showcasing work by leading Irish and international artists.
'A Terrible Beauty' is an artist's response/reaction to the photographic work (carried out during the Battle of the Somme) by François Bost, Olivier Cornet's great grand uncle who served WWI as a photographer. Read the essay by arts writer Cathy Dillon to find out more about the show which is now available for touring. The gallery would love to hear from arts centres and organisations/institutions who would like to host the show.
