This privacy statement sets out how the Olivier Cornet Gallery uses and protects any information that you may give when you use this website or when you send us personal information by email.

The Olivier Cornet Gallery is committed to ensuring that your privacy is protected. Should we ask you to provide certain information by which you can be identified when using this website, then you can be assured that it will only be used in accordance with this privacy statement.

The Olivier Cornet Gallery may change this policy in the future by updating this page. You should check this page from time to time to ensure that you are happy with any changes. This statement, in its original form, took effect on 12 May 2018. Last updated on 26 February 2022.
What we collect through our online form and your emails to us  

At present the only personal data we collect through our website is via a form on our Online Stockroom page where we ask you to indicate your name, email address, and -optionally (not a requirement)- your phone number. We use this information only to be able to email you an answer to your question on the form. We do not retain this information in our internal records unless you ask us to include you in our mailing list.

We do however collect and retain the following information when you send us an email asking to be added to our (e)mailing list:
• Contact information including email address and phone number,
• Name and job title (if you provided such information),
• Postal address.
How we use cookies on this website

We use industry-standard general session cookies: one called markc which records visitor page and link choices while on the site (but it is destroyed when the browser is closed). We also use one Preference cookie: Preference cookies are cookies that enable a website to remember information that changes the way the website behaves or looks, the one we use is called lang: it tracks your preferred language or the region that you are visiting us from. That data is not linked to any individual name. 

1 third party cookie remain on our website:

- fb_link: A feature for sharing via Facebook. It does not set a cookie by itself, but if one is present it will read it. Used for remembering if a visitor has used Facebook Connect to log into our site. This is required for Facebook Connect to work. We believe that this feature has currently no application on www.oliviercornetgallery.com as there is no logon feature to acces our website. 

Occasionally, we may use Google Analytics* cookies to gather information about how visitors use our site. We use the information to compile reports and to help improve the site. The cookies collect information in an anonymous form, including the number of visitors to the site, where visitors have come to the site from and the pages they visited. The 25th May 2018 new regulations in the EU mean that we must be transparent about the cookies we are using and also ask permission of you to use these cookies. You are not obliged to accept cookies and may modify your browser so that it will not accept them. What we do with the information you gave us by email

We require this information to provide you with a better service, and in particular for the following reasons:
a) Internal record keeping.
b) We may periodically send emails about exhibition openings, new artworks, art-related events, news about our artists or information which we think you may find interesting using the email address which you have provided.
Security

We are committed to ensuring that your information is secure. In order to prevent unauthorised access or disclosure, we have put in place suitable physical, electronic and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect presently by email, or online -in the future- should we decide to put in place online forms. When you purchase a work of art at the gallery and pay by credit card, we never keep a record of your banking details. 
Links to other websites

Our website contain links to social media platforms we use as well as other websites of interest. However, once you have used these links from our site, you should note that we do not have any control over those other websites. Therefore, we cannot be responsible for the protection and privacy of any information which you provide whilst visiting such sites and such sites are not governed by this privacy statement. You should exercise caution and look at the privacy statement / policy applicable to the websites in question.
Controlling your personal information

You may choose to restrict the collection or use of your personal information as follows:

If you have previously agreed to us using your personal information for direct marketing purposes -as defined in section b) of What we do with the information you gave us by email above-, you may change your mind at any time by emailing us at info@oliviercornetgallery.com. 

We will not sell, distribute or lease your personal information to third parties unless we are required to do so by law. We will never use your personal information to send you promotional information about third parties.
OPTING IN / OPTING OUT


If you were in our email list before May 2018 and missed our email asking you to opt in (due to the new EU regulations), you can do so now by clicking on the link below. All you have to do afterwards is write 'I would like to (re)join your email list' in the subject of your email and click on the Send button in your mail application. By Joining our email list, you will receive evites to our exhibition openings as well as our newsletters (which we send out every two months)


You can also opt out at any time by writing 'unsubscribe' (or any text with the same meaning) in the subject of your email before clicking on the Send button
*You can also install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add- on:
https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout – for your web browser. This Add-on module provides visitors with the ability to prevent their data from being collected and used by Google Analytics.
