This beautiful painting was acquired by the Office of Public Work (OPW) in February 2023 which means that it has now joined the art collection of the Irish State.

A very meditative work, 'Blue Edge' was part of Striae, a two-person exhibition which took place at the Olivier Cornet Gallery in May-June 2018. The show featured new work by Sheila Naughton and Hugh Cummins, one of our represented artists. 

'Blue Edge' was also included in our 2020-2021 Winter group show On Paper.

Sheila Naughton has been a member of our Associate Gallery Artists (AGA) group since 2016. Her work is included in many private and public collections.

The artist has participated in many group shows at the OCG and her first solo exhibition with us, The Darkest Night, took place in November 2022. A work on paper from that exhibition, namely 'The Darkest Night III', was also acquired by the OPW for the State Art Collection.
