Join us in Ireland’s capital from Thursday November 6 to Sunday November 9, for a "dynamic weekend of captivating visual arts across the city with Dublin Gallery Weekend 2025": A great showcase of contemporary Irish art, led by 11 private galleries all members of the CAGA association, joined by museums, cultural institutions and creative spaces. With more than 100 contemporary Irish artists exhibiting, expect "provocative shows from rising stars, stellar new work from established icons, favourite old masters and legendary mavericks".
The Olivier Cornet Gallery, a member of the CAGA association, is delighted to join again this year with a fantastic programme:
- Friday 7 November
18:30: Launch of our must-see group show 'Ode to Giants' with guest speaker Christina Kennedy, Senior Curator and Head of Collections at IMMA (Irish Museum of Modern Art), Dublin. 13 artists respond to their favourite pieces from three museums in Dublin: IMMA, the National Gallery of Ireland and the National Museum of Ireland in Collins Barracks. The show, a key offering of Dublin Gallery Weekend 2025, offers a unique and engaging approach to appreciating art history and contemporary practice in Ireland.
Artists: Annika Berglund, Hugh Cummins, Mary A. Fitzgerald, David Fox, Conrad Frankel, Nickie Hayden, Eoin Mac Lochlainn, Miriam McConnon, Sheila Naughton, Bart O'Reilly, Yanny Petters, Kelly Ratchford and Vicky Smith.

10:30 - 11:30: Breakfast with Yanny Petters.
Join Yanny Petters at the Olivier Cornet Gallery for mid-morning refreshments and a talk from the artist about 'A meeting, an ode to Harry Clarke', her verre églomisé painting featured in the group show Ode to Giants. The event is sponsored by Parnell Street Bakery (pastries) and The Castle Hotel, Dublin (coffee). Don't miss this greet-and-meet event.
14:00 - 15:30: You Can Draw My Car(d) - Kids Workshop with Kelly Ratchford

The art historian will look at the show in the context of her research on 'How Artists Think'.
