This discreet and yet powerful painting by Miriam McConnon was acquired in 2019 by the Office of Public Works (OPW) for inclusion in the Irish State's art collection.

'Two Syrian Roses' was part of 'Domestic Resistance', the artist's second solo exhibition at the Olivier Cornet Gallery. The show was opened by the Irish artist Brian Maguire who spoke very highly of this body of work.
