This beautiful painting was acquired by the Office of Public Work (OPW) in February 2023 which means that it is now in the art collection of the Irish State.
Quite a unique oeuvre with its magical combination of oil with heat and chemical patina on copper, Carved Memory exudes calm and serenity. It has always been a conversation piece amongst many visitors to our gallery. At the OCG, we always knew that this painting would eventually find a good home to go to.
