This magnificent verre églomisé (also known as reverse painting on glass) by the artist Yanny Petters, was part of her 2016 solo show at the Olivier Cornet Gallery, Dublin, Ireland. The exhibition was titled “Come with me, I’ll show you something beautiful” / “Komm mit mir, Ich zeig' Dir ‘was Schönes”, a quote from the artist's mother. The exhibition depicted each month of the year from the view of the artist’s garden in Country Wicklow, and celebrated the gifts from her mother in her lifetime.

The exhibition was a great success and shortly after the end of the exhibition, 'Teasel for Finches, November' joined the collection of the Shirley Sherwood Gallery of Botanical Art at Kew, London, UK. 

This work and two other verre églomisé paintings by the artist, were included in the book “The Shirley Sherwood Collection, Modern Masterpieces of Botanical Art" published in 2019. This book is a celebration of the Shirley Sherwood Collection of contemporary botanical art. Its release accompanied an exhibition of the same name showing in the Shirley Sherwood Gallery at Kew from November 2019 to March 2020. Yanny Petters's 'Teasel for Finches, November' was included in this exhibition. 

At the opening of the ‘Modern Masterpieces of Botanical Art’ exhibition at Kew Gardens, Dr Sherwood announced the launch of The Shirley Sherwood Collection website. Olivier Cornet Gallery artist Yanny Petters features on the website alongside her 3 works included in the collection.

Following this, the book was reviewed by Jonny Bruce in a Telegraph article titled: "Botanical art: the celebrated Shirley Sherwood collection" (9th November 2019) and Yanny Petters was mentioned in it. Yanny's piece was also singled out in this passionate filmed review of the book by Tim Wilson.

There are proud moments in the life of a gallerist and the inclusion of this wonderful work in the Dr Shirley Sherwood collection of botanical art was one of them.

In October 2021, Dr Shirley Sherwood acquired another two works from the artist's solo show, Field of Vision, here at the gallery.
